Patricia Goh
CDS Chairperson, National Championship Adjudicator

Patricia, a dancesport ambassador, believes in developing and promoting dancesport with integrity through her roles as a Chairperson, Adjudicator and Scrutineer. She currently also serves as the Chair of WDSF Adjudicators Qualifications Classification Committee. Patricia has recently completed her term serving as a WDSF Presidium Member and was the first and only female from Canada on the WDSF executive governance board.
Patricia is frequently appointed to adjudicate significant competitions. She has adjudicated various World Standard and Latin Championships, WDSF World Smooth Championship, WDSF Grand Slams in Standard and Latin, WDSF World Professional Latin and World Professional Showdance Championships.
Patricia is certified in Standard & Latin and Smooth & Rhythm. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills of dancing with dance enthusiasts of all levels. In addition to being a past champion in Adult Standard & Ten Dance and a Latin finalist, Patricia also holds a Masters degree in Business and Information Technology, the professional accounting designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), professional designations in governance, risk management and auditing as well as advanced certification in music and ballet. Furthermore, Patricia is a Graduate of Women Lead Sports Masters program sponsored by WDSF for Women Leaders in sports.

Tatiana Meshcheryakova
Top Professional Canadian ballroom dancer, teacher and judge from Montreal,Quebec.
Moscow champion, Master of Sports of Russia, many times bronze medallist and few times vice- champion of Canada in Professional ballroom program. Successful Competitive dancer with over 30 years of competition experience around the World in international standard and Latin program as well as American smooth. Tatiana became a winner of many local and international competitions.
With over 18 years of teaching experience successfully running Montreal dance school “Generation” - dancers of the school most strong representative in competitive international 10 dances program in Canada.
Tatiana is a coach and teacher many provincial and canadian finalist and champions since 2010 as well as certified highly recommended judge.
Phil Lee

Phil’s passion of dancing has enabled him to achieve his goal of becoming a WDSF Chairperson, National Championship Chairperson of Adjudicators and National Championship Adjudicator in both Standard & Latin and Smooth & Rhythm styles, WDSF PD Adjudicator, WDSF Adjudicator and a Certified Scrutineer. He is a past Ontario Amateur Adult Standard and Adult 10-Dance Champion, Canadian and North American Standard Professional Finalists, Canadian Ten Dance and Ontario Latin Finalist and North America Professional Standard Rising Star Vice Champion.
Phil is a regular Chairperson for significant competitions in Canada with a repertoire of adjudicating appointments that included major WDSF championships such as WDSF World Professional Standard, World Latin & World Formation Championships.
Additionally, Phil currently serves on the WDSF Adjudicators Commission, is the CDS Professional Committee representative for Ontario and CDS examiner. Phil enjoys coaching competitive dancesport athletes and is a faculty member of Dance Club Blue Silver.
Phil, furthermore, holds a Business degree in Finance, a Masters degree and a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation.
Faye Hung
After winning the Bronze Medal at the World Dancesport Federation (WDSF) World Championships, Faye retired from competitive dancing to pursue a full-time career as a coach and teacher. She enjoyed a highly successful competitive career as both an amateur and professional, performing at the highest levels of international dancesport.
Partnering with her Italian partner, Faye reached finals in top-level competitions held in Spain, Slovenia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Philippines, Thailand, and Taiwan. Together, they were Hong Kong National Standard Champions for ten consecutive years in both the amateur and professional divisions.
Faye holds fellowships in both Standard and Latin with the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) and is a Canadian national championship adjudicator. She is a resident instructor at Vancouver's Crystal Ballroom, where she teaches both group and private lessons.
Petre Samoila
Petre Samoila is an accomplished dancer, instructor, and adjudicator with over 30 years of experience in dancesport. His professional journey began in his mid-teens when he entered competitive ballroom dancing, forming a partnership with Roxana Samoila that would shape both his career and personal life for more than three decades.
Representing Romania, Petre achieved top national recognition as a Romanian International 10 Dance finalist, as well as a finalist in both the Romanian National Championships and the Romanian Cup. In 1996, he turned professional and began performing internationally, appearing in major production shows across Japan and South Korea, as well as teaching and performing ballroom dancing on famous ocean liners around the world.
In 2009, Petre earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports from the University of Pitești, Romania. In 2013, he relocated to Canada, where he continues to play an active role in the growth and development of the Canadian dancesport community. Together with his wife and longtime dance partner, Roxana Samoila, he co-founded Unique Dance, a school recognized with a Diploma of Excellence from the Consulate General of Romania in Canada for its outstanding achievements and contributions to the art of dance.
Normand Fortier
A leading figure in Quebec's competitive ballroom dance scene, Normand is a certified member of Canada Dance Sport (CDS) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), holding the prestigious titles of Fellow in Standard and Licentiate in Latin. A former Syllabus 10 Dance Champion, Normand now dedicates his expertise to the next generation of dancers as a professional instructor and judge. He is also the renowned producer of four major competitions in the province, including the "L'Étoile d'Or Québec" events.
Tony Chong
Anthony is originally from Calgary and moved to Vancouver to dance with Gloria in 2007. In his extensive dance career, he competed over 200 times throughout North America and Europe. As an amateur, him and Gloria Chien reached top 20 in the WDSF ranking list and won the Bronze Medal in the World Championships in Professional Division in their age category. They are the Coaches and Directors of TGDancesport.
Anthony has a passion for teaching and aspires to transform lives thru dance. He continues to train and study in Italy in one of the most successful dance schools in the world. Sharing his knowledge and experience with his students is his way of giving back to the community which has given him his life's purpose.
Scrutineer
Stephen Johnson
Stephen Johnson is a certified ballroom dance scrutineer. He got his start in ballroom dancing at UBC Dance Club in Vancouver, and has continued with lessons, competitions, and other events ever since. Outside of the ballroom dance world, Stephen is an acoustical engineer and a piano teacher who enjoys several other styles of partner dance. Stephen is glad to see ballroom dance events growing post-Covid, and he is excited to be scrutineering for the Alberta Winter Classic for the 3rd year in a row. Gerald, is co founder of GNR Dance, is a professional partner dance instructor with over 30 years of experience. A former UCWDC Certified Judge and multi time world champion in Country dance, he has competed internationally, and achieved top rankings in Classic West Coast Swing. Gerald now focuses on high quality, connection driven dance education, helping students develop mastery, confidence, and freedom of movement.
